YOUTH PERFORMANCE
Positive Warriors (Grade School /Middle School) (11-14 years old)
Youth athletes who want to compete at the high school level must learn to maximize their talents. Athleticism is a combination of agility, coordination, balance, flexibility, reaction time and strength. At Positive Sports Lab, we will develop you physically, mentally and nutritionally to be able to compete at the next level. Whether looking for individualized or team training, our programs are customized to your performance needs.
Eli+es / High School (15-19 years old)
The Transition from high school to college athletics can be overwhelming. You would never think about competing at the next level without physically preparing for competition first. At Positive Sports Lab, our high school programs are built on the same principles that support our professional athletes. We will develop speed, agility, strength, power, flexibility, proper nutritional habits and character development to maximize your talents on the playing field. Whether looking for individualized or team training, our programs are customized to your performance needs.
At PSL, we develop fundamental movement and sport skills, which will allow a child to move with confidence and control in a wide range of sport activities. Athleticism is a combination of agility, coordination, balance, flexibility, reaction time and strength. Skills must be mastered before sport specificity can be optimized, otherwise, young athletes risk over-use injuries and burn-out. We want the experience at Positive Sports Lab to be one in which we foster athletic development in a safe, fun and competitive environment.”
We realize that young developing athletes often over-compete, and under-train. We also realize that providing a training program modeled for older athletes is not an appropriate training strategy for young developing athletes. These types of training models create a recipe for disaster.
Many of the activities performed during their training involves stopping and starting, changing directions, jumping, throwing, kicking, medicine ball work and balancing games. We want to use multiple stimuli to constantly challenge and refine their fundamental skills. We want to encourage multi-sport participation and positive re-inforcement is critical. We will teach proper technique for many of the weight room lifts to prepare the young athletes for their transition into the elite performance programs.
